
Tulane Set for Final Regular Season Meet

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Tulane University cross country will wrap up the regular season on Friday as it competes in the Arturo Barrios Invitational hosted by Texas A&M. The Green Wave men will run in the 8k race while the women will take part in the 5k race at the Watts Cross Country Course.
The meet will open with the men's 8k race at 8:30 a.m. followed by the women's 5k race at 9:15 a.m. Fans can keep track of live updates and results from the Invitational at FlashResults.com.
Tulane will be represented by Arturs Lapins, Alan Deogracias III, Ryan Adkins, Jack Jennings, Illia Kunin, Bradley Makuvire, Juan Giron, and Parker Orlowsky in the men's race. The Green Wave will take the course among 38 other teams including fellow American Athletic Conference members North Texas, UTSA, and Rice.
In the women's race the Green Wave will be represented by Alex Sharp, Danna Diaz, Macy Turcotte, Sophia McNerney, Paula Vaquera, Lily Bell, Maddy Luscombe, Lili Grant, and Gemma Rebollo. Tulane will race among 41 other teams at the meet including No. 24 Utah Valley.
Last time out, the Green Wave competed in South Bend, Indiana, with the women placing ninth and the men 13th at the Joe Piane Invitational. Leading the Tulane women to the top-ten finish was Bell who placed third with a time of 17:08.2. Kunin led the way for the men running a time of 23:55.4 to place 18th in his first collegiate meet.
At the Arturo Barrios Invitational last year, the Tulane men placed third behind Makuvire's first-place finish with a time of 23:25.5 while the women finished 12th overall.
Up next, Tulane will travel to Greenville, North Carolina, for the AAC Cross Country Championships hosted by East Carolina on Saturday, October 28.
