Baseball Heads to Fullerton For a Midweek Match Up

FULLERTON, Calif- The Tulane University baseball team (0-3) is playing its mid-week game of the year on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. against Cal State Fullerton (1-2) at Goodwin Field.

The Green Wave is coming off a hard fought opening weekend at UC Irvine, where they were swept by the Anteaters.

Tulane's probable starter is Jonah Watcher, a 6'2" sophomore from Concord New Hampshire. Watcher saw action in four games in the 2022 season and made his season debut vs Texas Southern. He also got on inning of work in against future super regional host Southern Miss.

Fullerton started the season off at home with a three-game series against Stanford. They took game one by a score of 8-1 only to drop games two and three by scores of 7-5 and 21-13 respectively.

Tulane hasn't played Fullerton since the 2020 season. The Wave played the Titan's in a three-game series on the road. The Green Wave took the series 2-1 ending in a dramatic 13 inning game three. Fullerton holds the 5-12 all-time series lead over the Titans, with the first matchup coming in 1987.
