NEW ORLEANS -Â The Tulane University baseball team (0-4) is taking on St. John's University (1-2) in a three-game-series this weekend inside Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.

THE MATCHUP
The Friday and Saturday games begin at 6 p.m., while Sunday's duel begins at 1 p.m.

The series will be aired live on ESPN+ and radio coverage will be on WRBH 88.3 FM.
Â
The two sides have faced off only a single time in their history and that came during the 1989 season. The Green Wave fell to the Red Storm by a score of 6-3.

SCOUTING THE RED STORM
St. John's has had a slower start to the year after grabbing a 7-6 win on opening night. It dropped the second and third games of the series to Old Dominion by scores of 7-5 and 10-5.

Righty sophomore starter Sonny Fauci opened the season with a team-high four innings on the mound, giving up just two hits and two earned runs. Offensively, first baseman Aaron Mann has led the charge, hitting a staggering .500 (6-for-12) with two RBI and one extra base hit.

LAST TIME OUT
Tulane played 36 innings of baseball on the west coast last week. RHP Ricky Castro had a stand-out performance on Sunday against UC Irvine, going 5.2 innings, giving up two hits and no earned runs. Â
Catcher Brennan Lambert led the way last week, hitting .467 on seven hits with two runs scored and two RBI.
