NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane Outdoor Track and Field program has its third straight multiple meet week on tap starting on Thursday. The program sends a chosen group to compete in the prestigious Drake Relays from April 27-29 in Des Moines, Iowa at Drake Stadium. The team also is sending a delegation to the East Coast Relays held at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida at Hodges Stadium from April 28-29.
Those that are expected to compete at the Drake Relays include Victoria Robinson (women's 800m), Janae Dean (women's 4x800m relay, women's unseeded 800m) Danna Diaz (women's unseeded 1500m), Mackenzie Callahan (women's 3000m steeplechase, women's 4x800m relay), Allison Nelson (women's 3000m steeplechase), Abigail Heck (women's 4x800m relay, women's unseeded 1500m relay), Aaron Gilliam (men's unseeded 1500m), Arturs Lapins (men's 3000m steeplechase) and Bradley Makuvire (men's open 5000m, men's unseeded 1500m)

Last time out, the program participated in two different meets last weekend.
At the Virginia Challenge, Kristen O'Handley won the Heptathlon with a school-record 5,802 points. Individually in the seven events of the Heptathlon, O'Handley won the 800m (2:13.40), the high jump (1.73m/5'8") and the 200m (23.78). She also finished fourth in the 100m hurdles (14.04) and the long jump (5.89m/19'4"). She ended up in fifth in the javelin (35.55m/116'7") and ninth in the shot put (11.43m/37'6). Margot Temines placed sixth overall in the Heptathlon (5,349), while Laura Fodor earned 11th (4,623). Kara Steele took home fifth in the triple jump with her leap of 12.60m/41'4.25".
At the Warhawk Classic, Megan Fitzgerald led the team with a victory in the women's pole vault with a 3.60m/11'9.75". Her win was one of nine top-three individual finishes for the squad. Kristina Leggas earned second with a 3.60m/11'9.75". Cosette Fleury took fourth with her 3.35m/10'11.75".
Alex Sharp was the runner-up in the women's 5000m (18:40.88). Sharp earned fourth in the women's 1500m with a 4:56.13. Brenda Ellis finished seventh in the 1500m with a 5:01.79.
Kara Schiek finished second in the women's javelin with a 38.22m/125'04". Norah Bice took fourth in the event with a 35.38m/116'01".
Kaia Todd finished as the runner-up in the women's triple jump with a personal-best 11.41m/37'05.25". She also earned sixth in the 100m hurdles (15.22) and had a personal-best leap in the long jump (5.20m/17'00.75") in earning 11th place.
Bethwel Tum took third in the men's 1500m with a 4:13.43.
Ashley Horwitz placed third in the women's 800m with a personal-best 2:19.80.
Olivia Hicks earned third in the women's high jump with a 1.55m/5'1". Patricija Ozolina ranked fourth in the event 1.55m/5'1". Ozolina also took seventh in the 100m hurdles with her 16.29 and ninth in the long jump (5.26m/17'3.25").
Maren Butler took home third in the women's discus with her throw of 42.12m/138'2". Bice placed 11th with a 35.68m/117'00". Bella Gonzalez took home 12th with a personal-best 35.44m/116'03". Alyssa Dismuke finished 13th with her 33.13m/108'09". Ashley Trester picked up 14th with a 30.95m/10'6". Emma Simons ranked 16th in the event (26.43m/86'8").
Butler placed second in the women's shot put with her toss of 14.58m. Gonzalez earned ninth (11.41m) in the event. Dismuke took home 12th with a 10.84m, while Simons finished 14th (9.22m).
Jon Lloyd finished fourth in the men's javelin with a 55.10m. Matthew Remondet earned sixth in the event (50.54m)
Devean Deal picked up sixth place in the men's shot put with a 13.89m/45'07" and also sixth in the men's discus (40.70m/133'6"). Matthew Remondet earned 13th place in the men's shot put with a 11.40m/37'05.00".
Tolu Ajayi earned eight in the women's 100m with a personal-best of 12.39.
Jamie Polakoff ran a personal-best 2:02.53 to finish ninth in the men's 800m. Iker Yturralde placed 10th with a 2:04.57.
Francisco Roman III took 25th in the 100m (11.66). He also finished 15th in the men's shot put with a 10.99m/36'00.75".
