Tulane reliever Jonah Wachter (1-4) was charged with the loss after surrendering Monistere's homer, in addition to four other hits and two walks.

Banks and third baseman Simon Baumgardt put the Green Wave on top 3-1 in the third with a double to left and a sacrifice fly to right, respectively.
Â
The margin became three when Banks added a sac fly of his own in the fifth.

However, the home team scored the game's next nine runs with Monistere's blow as the centerpiece.
