NEW ORLEANS – Tulane gears up for its next-to-last home conference this weekend when UCF visits Greer Field at Turchin Stadium for three games this weekend. Start times are Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m., while Sunday's series finale will be played at 1.

The Green Wave enters the game at 13-32 overall and 6-9 in the American Athletic Conference. The Knights are 25-19 and also stand 6-9 in the league.

Firehouse Subs will be available for the first 100 Tulane students through the gate on Friday.
Â
Saturday will be Top Gun Night, featuring a Top Gun Riptide Bobblehead giveaway to the first 500 fans.
Â
Sunday will be Riptide Kid's Club Day. Kids Club members receive FREE game admission. There will also be a collectible baseball card giveaway (six cards) and postgame autographs with Tulane's Cristian Sanchez, Grant Cleavinger, Michael Fowler, Will Tynes and coach Thomas Brittle.

SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS
Ben McCabe leads the team with a .379 batting average, a 1.166 OPS, 50 runs scored, 64 hits, 15 home runs, 119 total bases, .704 slugging percentage and a .462 on-base percentage. Andrew Bait has belted 13 doubles and two triples, while Andrew Sundean's 42 RBI paces the squad. Tom Josten has drawn a team-high 30 free passes to go with John Rhys Plumlee's 14 stolen bases.

In a three-game home series with Houston last weekend, UCF started Ruddy Gomez (6-2, 4.97 ERA), Jacob Marlowe (3-5, 5.89 ERA) and Cameron Leiter (1-2, 6.39 ERA) on the mound. Kyle Kramer leads the way with eight saves and a 4.08 ERA. As a team, the Knights yield an ERA of 5.58 with a .268 batting average against.

UCF is coming off a 16-10 home win over North Florida on Tuesday.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE GREEN WAVE
Southern Miss second baseman Nick Monistere blasted a sixth-inning, go-ahead grand slam and the host Golden Eagles went on to defeat visiting Tulane 10-5 Tuesday evening at Pete Taylor Park in Hattiesburg.

Southern Miss reliever Kros Sivley (3-0) stayed unbeaten as he pitched three innings, giving up an unearned run on two hits with two strikeouts.

Tulane reliever Jonah Wachter (1-4) was charged with the loss after surrendering Monistere's homer, in addition to four other hits and two walks.

USM center fielder Matthew Etzel went 4-for-5 with two strikeouts and two walks. Shortstop Dustin Dickerson and right fielder Carson Paetow both went 2-for-5. Etzel, first baseman Christopher Sargent, third baseman Danny Lynch and Monistere all scored two runs.

Tulane center fielder Teo Banks drove in a pair of runs on a 2-for-4 effort, while left fielder Brady Hebert went 3-for-5 with two runs scored.

The teams traded first inning runs with catcher Brennan Lambert getting the visitors on the board with a run-scoring single up the middle.

Banks and third baseman Simon Baumgardt put the Green Wave on top 3-1 in the third with a double to left and a sacrifice fly to right, respectively.

The margin became three when Banks added a sac fly of his own in the fifth.

However, the home team scored the game's next nine runs with Monistere's blow as the centerpiece.

Tulane's Adam Ebling tacked on a sac fly to left in the ninth inning for the final margin.

For the game, the Golden Eagles stranded 13 runners on base to six for the Olive and Blue.

Hebert ripped his team-leading 13th double in the third inning.
