
Tulane Hoops Hullabaloo Returns on October 24

NEW ORLEANS – Come get your first look at the 2023-24 Tulane University men's and women's basketball teams at the second annual Hoops Hullabaloo tipoff event on Tuesday, October 24, inside Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.

Doors will open for Hoops Hullabaloo at 6:30 p.m. with action on the court beginning at 7 p.m. Admission for all fans is FREE.

Fans will get their first introduction to the 2023-24 Green Wave men's and women's teams to begin the event. The Tulane men's and women's student-athletes will showcase their talents on the court in a skills competition, a three-point competition, and a dunk contest.

The night will also feature a DJ and performances from the Tulane Band and Spirit Squads. One lucky student will also get the chance to win $10,000 if they make a halfcourt shot at the end of the event.

The regular season for both teams will open with a doubleheader on Monday, November 6, inside Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse. The women's team will face Stetson at 5 p.m., followed by the men's team against Nicholls.

After posting the program's first 20-win season since 2012-13, the Green Wave men's basketball team returns an experienced core with Sion James and All-American Athletic Conference performers Jaylen Forbes and Kevin Cross.

Tulane women's basketball returns for the 2023-24 campaign after reaching the postseason for the 22nd time in program history last season.
