Volleyball Falters Against UAB

BIRMINGHAM โย Tulane Volleyball wrapped up their weekend road trip with a hard-fought, five-set match at the University of Alabama Birmingham. While the Green Wave beat the Memphis Tigers during the first leg of their trip, they were bested by the UAB Blazers 3-2.ย ย
The Green Wave fought through five sets against the Blazers, having reclaimed some ground after falling in the first set 25-14. Tulane forged through the second, making an elite comeback and winning 25-22. The Green Wave then decisively claimed the third, knocking down the Blazers 25-13. The next two sets went to Birmingham, however, as the Blazers won 25-20 and 15-10.ย
Sami Jacobs led the Green Wave in kills again, landing an impressive 15 against the Blazers with 8 in the third set. She also led the team in digs (16) and tied with Avery Burks in receptions at 29.ย Agata Beksha followed up in kill count with 11 while also landing two service aces and three block assists.ย ย
Jordan White secured a phenomenal eight block assists, her season high, and added seven kills to her stats. Zoe Rachow put up 21 assists, which were accompanied by Katherine Crosley's 20. Dayla Ortiz also set up 3 assists and contributed 14 receptions.ย
UP NEXT
Tulane will be back on the road on Friday, Oct. 25, when it plays Rice at 5 p.m. in Houston. On Sunday, Oct. 27 the Green Wave will host the University of North Texas at 2 p.m.
