Volleyball Drops First Florida Road Match to USF

TAMPA BAY โ Tulane Volleyball took on the University of South Florida for the first time this season for its first road game in Florida. The Bulls, who are ranked first in the AAC, won in three sets: 25-15, 25-17, and 25-15.ย
Avery Burks led Tulane in receptions, logging 19, just in front of Sami Jacobs' 17. Freshman Dayla Ortiz had a succeeding 16.ย
Jacobs landed two aces and is now ranked second in the conference in service aces with 40, just one behind conference leader Caroline Dykes. Jacobs is also ranked fourth in overall digs with 351 and eighth in digs per set at 3.38.ย
Ava Derbes hit .750 with three kills, while Sabrina Skyers had four kills and hit .429. Skyers is ranked third in the AAC for hitting percentage at .340. Freshman Amelia Haggins had four kills and hit .333.
Zoe Rachow added 13 assists to her career total; she now holds 977.ย
The Green Wave will next take on FAU on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 12 p.m.
