
Track and Field Finishes Up Competition at the Jim Green Invitational On Saturday

Lexington, Kentucky – Sofie Groeninger placed fourth in the heptathlon to highlight the action for Tulane's track and field team at the Jim Green Invitational on Saturday in Lexington, Kentucky.
Groeninger totaled 4693 points overall in the seven events of the heptathlon. Her point total places her ninth all-time at Tulane in the event. On Saturday, in the final three events of the heptathlon, she placed third in the long jump (5.31m/17'5.25"), third in the javelin (36.24m/118'11") and eighth in the 800m (2:34.54).
The 4x100m relay team of Bella Carroll, Robyn Larkan, Patricija Ozolina and Tolu Ajayi earned eighth with a time of 48.10.
Alyssa Dismuke was the team's top finisher in both the women's discus (37.99m/124'7") and in the shot put (12.05m/3''6.50"). Both marks were also a personal best for her.
Parker Orlowsky earned seventh in the men's 800m with a 1:56.09.
Ajayi was the team's top finisher in the 100m with a 12.52.
Alyssa Taylor was the team's top finisher in the women's 400m.
Next week the program will again compete in a pair of competitions. The program participates in the Drake Relays from April 24-27 in Des Moines, Iowa. The team will also compete in the East Coast Relays in Jacksonville, Florida from April 26-27 on the campus of North Florida.
