
Tulane Tied for 13th at ICSA Open Team Race National Championship

BOSTON – At the close of the first day at the 2024 ICSA Open Team Race National Championship the Tulane University sailing team sits in a tie for 13th in the field of 16. Teams were only able to complete four races each on the opening day of the Open National Championship hosted co-hosted by MIT and Harvard on the waters of Charles River.
The Green Wave was led by skippers Hamilton Barclay, Zander King, and Kelly Holthus with crews CJ Ricci, Alex Makoid, and Gillian Perrell on Thursday. In the first four rotations of the national championship regatta the Wave posted a 1-3 record with its lone win coming over Georgetown.
Racing is scheduled to resume at 9 a.m. CT on Friday Open National Championship. Competition will also be streamed live on ESPN+ beginning at 12 p.m. CT and running through the end of the day.
