Tulane Headed to Corvallis for NCAA Regional

CLEARWATER, FL – The Tulane baseball team, winners of its second consecutive American Athletic Conference Tournament, will be the 4 seed that the Corvallis Regional in the 2024 NCAA Tournament, the school learned on Monday.

The Green Wave (35-24) clinched the league's automatic berth when left fielder Jackson Linn's 433-foot solo homer sailed over the wall in left in the bottom of the ninth to give the team an 11-10 win over Wichita State on Sunday.

Tulane will face Oregon State (42-14) on Friday at 8 p.m. CT/6 PT on ESPNU. The winner will face the winner of the game between second-seeded UC Irvine (43-12) and third-seeded Nicholls (38-20), which will be earlier in the day at 3 p.m. CT/1 PT.

The Green Wave was swept by UC Irvine at home in February but broke out the brooms against Nicholls with a 3-2 win at home on February 20 and a wild 14-12 victory on the road on March 5.

The Olive and Blue has faced the Beavers three times in its history, winning all of those contests. The team won 11-9 at the Riverside Invitational (Riverside, California) in 1986, 6-5 at the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette in 1991 and 3-1 in the 2005 College World Series opener (Omaha, Nebraska) in 2005.

Tulane Athletics does not have any tickets available for sale for this event. All tickets must be purchased directly from Oregon State. All-session tickets for the regional went on sale Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. CT and can be purchased by visiting BeaverTickets.com. If single-sessions tickets are available, they will go on sale at 11 a.m. CT/9 PT the day of the game.
