Dec 9, 2025 | Women's Bowling
NEW ORLEANS – After a strong showing over the opening two months of the season, the Tulane bowling team has climbed to No. 17 in the NTCA December Coaches Poll as revealed today. The Green Wave began the campaign at No. 19 in the preseason rankings.
All 12 Conference USA teams are ranked in the latest edition of the poll, including each of the top seven. Jacksonville State remained at No. 1 with all but three possible first-place votes. Vanderbilt, Arkansas State, Nebraska, and Louisiana Tech round out the top five.
The Wave is 33-19 on the season with four wins against top-10 foes and 12 total ranked victories. Tulane averages 191.1 pins per game. The Wave has placed in the top eight of each tournament this season and notched a top-10 victory in every competition as well.
Mia Stolakis leads Tulane with 268 strikes on the campaign as one of three Wave bowlers to own over 200. She is joined by Emma Fetterman and Paige Matiasek with 217 and 208, respectively. Stolakis is solidified as one of the top anchor bowlers in the nation, ranking fourth in 10th frame scoring average at 21.808. Her 10th frame double percentage of 36.8 ranks third in the country, and it's the best mark among bowlers with at least 100 10th frames bowled. Fetterman is one of the top bowlers nationally in the traditional format, ranking second with a split leave percentage of 3.8. In the Baker format, Linnea Holcomb posts a split leave mark of 4.6 to check in at fourth nationally.
Tulane concluded the fall slate with its annual Colonial Lanes Classic, placing seventh. Stolakis earned event MVP honors to record her third all-tournament recognition of the season (SWIBC I and II). After a winter break, the Green Wave will return to action in January with a pair of Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Conference (SWIBC) tournaments. The SWIBC V and VI will take place in Plano, Texas, on January 17 and 18.
