NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane women's tennis team shutout visiting Troy Sunday afternoon at City Park Tennis Center by the score of 4-0.
The Green Wave improved to 4-3 overall, while the Trojans dropped to 3-4.
Tulane won the Nos. 2 and 3 doubles matches to secure the doubles point. Summer Chandler and Micah Pierce took a 6-2 win at No. 2 and Natalia Fantini and Jiayun Zhu posted a 6-3 win at No. 3.
In singles, the Green Wave got straight-set victories by Campbell Ricci at No. 1, Chandler at No. 2 and Zhu at No. 6 to clinch the victory.
Tulane will head to Tampa next weekend for a Saturday match with UTSA (11 a.m.) and Sunday against USF (11 a.m.).
