NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane swimming & diving team heads to Dallas, Texas for the 2025 American Athletic Conference (AAC) Swimming Championship this week at the Robson and Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr McMillion Natatorium on the campus of SMU from Feb. 19-22.

The seven preliminaries and finals sections of the meet will be shown on ESPN+ at the link on the top of the page or by clicking here.
The swim preliminaries start daily at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The diving preliminaries begin at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The diving consolations are on Thursday and Friday at 5:10 p.m. The swim final times are 5 p.m. (Wednesday), 6 p.m. (Thursday), 6 p.m. (Friday) and 5 p.m. (Saturday). The top 16 finishers in each morning's preliminaries qualify for the evening finals and also score team points by competing in the finals. The top three finishers in the finals secure individual/team All-Conference recognition.
Tulane placed sixth in the AAC last season with 379 points. The program's highest finish as a member of the American Athletic Conference came in 2016 when the program was the runner-up with 637.5 points. Tulane's highest swim and diving finish ever came in 2005 when the program won the team title when the school was a member of CUSA.

In the team's last meet against West Florida on Feb. 1, the Tulane swimming and diving team won all 13 events, totaled 22 top three individual finishes and achieved a Zone qualifying diving mark in earning a 159-83 Senior Day victory over West Florida on Saturday at the Reily Center Natatorium. The program had three individual multi-event winners on the afternoon.
Andrea Zeebe won a pair of events with victories in the 200 free (1:52.67) and the 100 back (56.53).
Varvara Gkiouzepa Petropoulou earned wins in the 1000 free (10:15.55) and the 100 butterfly (57.34).
Anna Behrman won the 3-meter dive with a personal best point total (276.60). Her teammate, Paige McKenzie, won the 1-meter with a Zone qualifying total of 270.30.
The 200 medley relay team of Zeebe, Emma Brady, Maya Wilson and Catherine Russo started the swimming portion of the day with an event victory (1:43.44).
Olcaytu Hatipoglu earned the 50 free victory (23.90).
Gwen Shahboz picked up the 200 IM win (2:06.55)
Russo won the 100 free (51.83).
Sydney Mullin was the victor in the 500 free (5:01.44).
Paula Gaya Bisquerra earned the 100 breast victory (1:04.84).
The 200 free relay team of Russo, Hatipoglu, Coetzee and Wilson finished the competition for Tulane by winning their event (1:35.03).
Kelsey Weddington was named the AAC Freshman Diver of the Week for the second straight week on Feb. 4. She placed third in the 3-meter dive (256.58) and sixth in the 1-meter dive (233.78) against West Florida on Saturday. Her 3-meter score was a collegiate best and surpassed her previous mark by 10.05 points and placed her 10th all-time at Tulane in the event.
Weddington's selection makes it 10 times that a Tulane swimmer or diver has honored with an AAC Weekly Award this season following Catherine Russo (Swimmer – Oct. 1), Rachel Casebolt (Diver – Oct. 1), Andrea Zeebe (Swimmer – Oct. 22), Varvara Gkiouzepa Petropoulou (Freshman Swimmer – Oct. 22), Gwen Shahboz (Swimmer – Nov. 5), Maya Wilson (Swimmer – Jan. 7), Wilson (Swimmer – Jan. 28), Petropoulou (Freshman Swimmer – Jan. 28), Kelsey Weddington (Freshman Diver – Jan. 28) and Weddington (Freshman Diver – Feb. 4). She is the third repeat winner of an award this season for the program.
Head Coach Amanda Caldwell is in her third year leading the program. The team is coming off an outstanding 2023-24 season that resulted in 64 lifetime bests, 31 all-time top-10 school marks, four school records, an AAC individual title, an AAC Freshman of the Year Award, 11 National Invite Championship Qualifiers, a Zone Diver Qualifier and an NCAA qualifier.
The program returns 12 swimmers & divers from last season in Anna Behrman, Emma Brady, Rachel Casebolt, Taylor Cekay, Reese Dunkenberger, Paula Gaya Bisquerra, Olcaytu Hatipoglu, Paige McKenzie Sydney Mullin, Gwen Shahboz, Ece Tanriverdi and Andrea Zeebe. The squad also is welcoming in 11 newcomers in Layla Allen, Lise Coetzee, Charley Floyd, Phoebe Johnson, Varvara Gkiouzepa Petropoulou, Catherine Russo, Eva Shawver, Rafaela Sumida, Lily Von Herbulis, Kelsey Weddington and Maya Wilson.
Following this week's competition at the championships, the program will send diving qualifiers to the Zone Championships on March 9. The swimmers will next be in action as the team's qualifiers will head to National Invitational Championship on March 12. NCAAs will start on March 19.
