
Bowling Goes 3-2 in Flyer Classic Day Two

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Tulane Bowling clinched three wins today during their second round of competition in the Flyer Classic. The Wave maintains its eleventh-place standing following wins over Elmhurst University, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and Lewis University.Â
Tulane opened the day against Sam Houston State University, who came out on top 1107-831. Emma Figert and Mia Stolakis both offered the Wave 185 pins, while Emma Fetterman gave 168. Blanca Fraticelli and Paige Matiasek closed out the points with 148 and 145 pins each.Â
The Green Wave then picked up their first win of the day over Elmhurst, 995-707. Fraticelli led the Wave this time, knocking over 235 pins. Matiasek and Figert both hit 203 pins, while Stolakis gave 186 and Fetterman 168.Â
Second place Wichita State defeated the Wave 1140-979 during the third. Matiasek claimed a monumental 245 points, while Fetterman broke 200 with 224. Figert, Stolakis, and Fraticelli felled 190, 170, and 150.Â
Tulane triumphed over the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for a 929-895 score from the fourth match. Fetterman ran the effort with 211 pins, closely assisted by Fraticelli's 201 and Figert's 197. Stolakis and Matiasek provided 164 and 156.Â
The Wave snatched another win during the final match of the day, beating Lewis 1004-960. Fetterman bowled a team-high 245, while Matiasek landed 201. Fraticelli swept 197, Stolakis gave 196, and Figert rounded the day with 165.Â
Fetterman ranked 32 of 132 with her total pin count of 1,016 and average of 203.20.
The Green Wave has totaled 4,914 points over the tournament and maintains 11th place. Jacksonville State, Wichita State, and North Carolina A&T still place first through third.Â
Tomorrow, Bowling will pick up play at 7:10 a.m. CT.
