
Tulane Hits the Road for Doc Anderson Multi & Invitational

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane track and field team returns to the road to compete in the Doc Anderson Multi & Invitational this weekend in Troy, Alabama. The meet will be hosted by the Troy Trojans at the Jesse H. Colley Track on Friday and Saturday, April 4-5.

The meet will open on Friday at 11 a.m. with the men's hammer throw and will conclude with the men's and women's 200m and 5000m at 5:15 p.m. Saturday will with the decathlon events at 10 a.m. and will go until the 4x400m relay on the women's side at 6:25 p.m.
The 14 programs that will compete alongside Tulane at the meet are Troy, Alabama State, Alabama-Huntsville, Auburn Montgomery, Huntingdon College, Marion Military Institute, Mercer, Miles College, Montevallo, Spring Hill, Thomas University, Tuskegee, UAB, and West Florida.
LAST OUTING
The Green Wave had a stellar weekend at North Carolina State's Raleigh Relays featuring two school records, a first-place finish, and multiple personal bests. Janae Dean was the champion of the 800m running a time of 2:04.30 to set the school record and earn American Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week. Blezzin Kimutai broke the Tulane record in the outdoor 5000m as she finished with a time of 15:54.12 which was good for 14th out of 179 competitors in the event.

The Wave will compete in the South Florida Invitation hosted at the USF Track & Field Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on April 11-12.
