Tulane Opens 25-26 Campaign at Sam Golden Invitational

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane golf team will tee off its 2025-26 season at the Sam Golden Invitational in Corinth, Texas, on Monday and Tuesday, September 8-9. The two-day tournament will be hosted by North Texas at the Oakmont Country Club.

The Green Wave will open the new campaign with a starting lineup that features four returners and one newcomer. Hitting the course for Tulane at the first tournament of the year will be Francesca Pompa, Tonka Zacharovska, Sophia Macias, Gabriella Gilrowski, and Sopia Yi-Ju Chen.

The Sam Golden Invitational will feature three 18-hole rounds in two days. On Monday teams will play 36 holes followed by the final round of 18 holes on Tuesday. Both days of the tournament will tee off with a shotgun starting at 8:30 a.m. on Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

In addition to the Green Wave, the 13-team field includes Texas State, New Mexico State, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas State North Texas, UTSA, Central Arkansas, Tulsa, Texas Tech, Middle Tennessee State, and Louisville.
