No. 17 Bowling Selected to Fort Worth for USBC Intercollegiate Team Sectionals
Feb 19, 2026 | Women's Bowling
NEW ORLEANS – The United States Bowling Congress (USBC) has announced the assignments for the sectional qualifiers next month with the 17th-ranked Tulane bowling squad chosen to the Fort Worth sectional at Cityview Lanes. The assignments were broadcast live last night on BowlTV for the 80 women's and men's teams that will compete in the USBC Intercollegiate Team Sectionals on March 14 and 15.
Â
There are four locations for the sectional qualifiers. Alongside Tulane's assignment of Fort Worth are Addison, Illinois; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Smyrna, Tennessee. The top four teams from each division will advance to the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championship in April, held in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Â
All teams in each sectional qualifier will bowl 64 Baker games over the two days of competition. In addition to the team portion of the action, the qualifiers for the Intercollegiate Singles Championships (ISC) will also occur at each of the four locations on March 13. Student-athletes at each host site will bowl six games with 24 bowlers – the top four at each sectional with eight additional individuals based on field size – advancing to the ISC, which will also be held in Green Bay.
Â
Joining Tulane in the Fort Worth Sectional are Avila, Iowa Central CC, Judson, No. 5 Louisiana Tech, Missouri Baptist, Morningside, No. 15 Newman, No. 12 North Carolina A&T, Northwestern Ohio, Oklahoma Christian, Ottawa-Kansas, Peru State, Saint Xavier, Southern Nazarene, St. Francis-Illiniois, Texas A&M, and UTSA. Louisiana Tech is the only other Conference USA member in Tulane's sectional, and the Bulldogs are one of three other ranked teams in the field.
Â
The No. 17 Green Wave will be back in action next weekend with the TNBA Open hosted by The National Bowling Association. The three-day event takes place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, from February 27 to March 1.
