Rubi Named to CUSA All-Academic Team

DALLAS – Tulane's Sarah Rubi has been named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team for women's bowling as announced by the league today. Rubi, a graduate student for the 17^th-ranked Green Wave, is one of just six total athletes in the league to secure the honor.

Rubi is in her first season with Tulane after transferring in from Lincoln Memorial. The Metairie, Louisiana, native is joined on the team by Aleesha Oden (Wichita State), Emma Yoder (Jacksonville State), Megan Prettyman (Sacred Heart), Jenna Stretch (Louisiana Tech), and Kaylee Back (Arkansas State). After earning her Bachelor of Science in computer science at Lincoln Memorial, Rubi is currently working on her Master of Science in computer science at Tulane. She touts a 3.890 GPA and has previously earned NTCA All-Academic honors.

Rubi boasts an overall fill percentage of 81.8 with 266 strikes this season. With a makeable spare percentage of 79.8, Rubi is tied for second on the team.

Tulane is competing this weekend in the USBC Intercollegiate Singles and Team Sectionals in Fort Worth, Texas. The singles competition takes place this afternoon at Cityview Lanes with the team portion following over the next two days.
