NEW ORLEANS – Before the Green Wave opens its 2026 campaign, Tulane volleyball will welcome fans inside Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse for their first look at this year's team on Saturday, August 22. The Wave will compete in the Olive & Blue Scrimmage, an intrasquad match, beginning at 1 p.m.
The scrimmage is free for the public to attend. Parking will be available for fans in the Diboll Garage on the Tulane campus.
Tulane features a roster with six returners and 11 newcomers under first-year head coach Derek Schroeder. Avery Burks highlights the six returners for the Green Wave as she enters the 2026 season with Preseason All-American Conference honors for the third year in a row. Among the 11 newcomers for the Wave are five transfers and six freshmen.
The Green Wave finished the 2025 campaign with an 11-16 record overall. Burks led the way for the Wave last season pacing the team in total points and kills to earn First Team All-Conference recognition.
Tulane will open the 2026 regular season by hosting the Green Wave Classic in Uptown. The Green Wave will take on North Dakota State in the season-opener on Friday, August 28, before squaring off against Tennessee Tech on Sunday, August 30, to close the opening weekend.
