2002: Played in 50 games as a sophomore, including 36 starts behind the plate...earned team Outstanding Defensive Player honors after making a successful transition from middle infielder to catcher during the preseason...helped the Green Wave staff go 24-12 with a 4.59 team ERA as a starter...threw out seven base-runners among his 21 assists...led the team with six sacrifice bunts...at the plate, tallied eight multiple-hit games, including a 3-for-4 outing vs. TCU (4/20), and six multiple-RBI outings, including three-RBI performances at UAB (4/13) and at South Florida (5/12)...had a six-game hitting streak from April 13-21 when he hit .524 (11-for-21) with two doubles and nine RBI...belted his first career home run in his first at-bat with Tulane in a game against Pepperdine (2/9).
