Prior to Tulane: Played freshman season at Lamar County Community College for coach Scott Crampton, seeing action in left field and at first base...earned second-team All-America honors and first-team All-Region IX recognition after hitting .457 with 20 home runs, 76 RBI, 169 total bases, 73 runs scored, 21 doubles and a .868 slugging percentage...led the nation in home runs, finished fourth in doubles and RBI, and ranked 10th in batting average...helped the Runnin[apos] Lopes go 47-12 and win the Region IX Championship.
