Brennan Lambert is entering his second year as a graduate assistant coach for Tulane University Baseball. Specializing in coaching catchers and assisting with the hitters, Lambert plays a key role in player development.
In addition to his work on the field, Coach Lambert is actively involved in the recruiting efforts as well as coordinating and running the program’s prospect camps.
At the conclusion of the 2024 season, Tulane’s catcher Colin Tuft was selected in the eighth round of the Major League Draft by the Baltimore Orioles. Tuft transferred to Tulane from the University of Virginia as an outfielder but was called upon to catch 60+ games in 2024. Tuft finished third in the American Athletic Conference in caught stolen bases with 15 base runners thrown out.
Lambert recently exhausted his eligibility at Tulane, playing in the 2022 and 2023 seasons. He hit .290 with 12 doubles, 10 homers and 53 RBI for the American Athletic Conference champions. He was named to the All-AAC Championship Tournament Team after collecting eight hits and 11 RBI across five games. Lambert, who homered in the NCAA Regional against LSU, was a career .285 hitter in 83 games at Tulane. He began his collegiate career at Lamar University before transferring to Delgado Community College
