2006: Appeared in three games out of the bullpen as a sophomore...longest outing of the season came against South Alabama (3/18) when he posted a strikeout in 2.0 scoreless frames...did not allow an earned run in two of his turns on the mound...off the diamond, was a member of Tulane's 3.0 Club.
Prior To Tulane: Played freshman year at Georgia Tech where he helped the Yellow Jackets win the ACC Championship and advance to the NCAA Atlanta Super Regional...had five relief appearances as a rookie, posting a 3.24 ERA, five strikeouts and three walks while limiting opponents to a .188 batting average in 8.1 innings of work...longest outing of the year came at Miami (3/25)...struck out a career-best two vs. Georgia Southern (3/9) and Virginia Tech (5/14).
Summer Ball: Pitched for the Delaware Cows of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate Baseball League in 2005 and the Kauai Menehunes of the Hawaii Collegiate Baseball League in 2006...with the Cows, started four of the seven games he appeared in and went 0-2 with a 7.40 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 20.2 innings...with the Menehunes, posted a 2-2 record with a 3.76 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 26.0 innings.
High School: Three-year letterman as a pitcher, first baseman and outfielder at Lassiter High for coach Mickey McMurtry...rated the No. 15 prospect in Georgia...earned all-state, all-region and all-county honors as a sophomore and senior...only pitched one inning as a senior, earning a save in his lone appearance, and hit .365 with four home runs and 48 RBI...missed entire junior season after undergoing Tommy John elbow surgery...as a sophomore, helped Lassiter to the state championship after throwing two one-hitters in the playoffs...went 11-1 with a 1.09 ERA and 98 strikeouts in 63.1 innings, and hit .340 with seven homers and 38 RBI...went 5-0 with a 2.02 ERA with a .310 batting average, three bombs and 15 RBI as a freshman...in three seasons with the East Cobb Yankees, went 26-1 with a 1.57 ERA, including a 4-0 record and a 1.32 ERA in 2004 when he helped the team win the Connie Mack World Series...off the diamond, was recognized in Who's Who Among American High School Students.
