Prep: A two-year letterwinner at Klein High School in Klein, Texas...played third base...hit .478 with seven home runs to help lead the Bearkats to a 19-9 record and an appearances in the bi-district state playoffs during his senior year...earned unanimous First Team All-League honors as a senior...named Second Team All-League at third base during his junior year...also lettered twice as a quarterback for the Bearkats football team...earned All-League Honorable Mention and Second Team honors as a freshman and sophomore, respectively.
