Frankie Niemann was promoted to the role of Director of Player Development and Analytics in the fall of 2024. He had spent the previous two seasons in 2023 & 2024 in a Volunteer Analytics position for the program.
In his role, he uses up-to-date techniques on compiling data that will be used to provide information to the coaching staff on current players, opponents and transfer portal entrees. This data will help the coaching staff shape in coaching techniques, game planning and recruiting out of the transfer portal.
Niemann spent the 2022 season as a Research & Development Intern at ISE Baseball, where he assisted in the production of MLB off season projects, including MLB arbitration, player evaluation and free agency.
He played at Tulane from 2018-2022. He was a Second-Team All-AAC Catcher in 2019 after hitting .318 with 14 doubles, four homers and 36 RBI as a sophomore. He hit .278 with 29 doubles, six homers and 76 RBI in 131 career games.
He hails originally from Sanford, Florida.
