Career: One of the finest players to ever wear the Olive and Blue, while serving as a team leader during his three years on the Uptown campus…finished his career with a .293 batting average across 161 games with 158 starts…scored 104 runs with 184 hits, 31 doubles, six triples, three homers, 69 RBI and 57 stolen bases…finishes his career fifth in school history in most double plays turned (115), eighth in assists (513) and 13th in stolen bases (57)…was a third-round draft pick (105th overall) of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2016 MLB First-Year Player Draft.

2014 (Freshman): The Perfect Game Preseason Conference USA Freshman of the Year...appeared in 48 games, including 47 starts (all at shortstop)...batted .241 with 24 runs, 40 hits, six doubles, two triples, one home run, 19 RBI, 12 walks 11 stolen bases, one sacrifice fly and three sacrifice bunts...led the Green Wave in stolen bases (11 in 12 attempts) and triples (two)...recorded ten multi-hit games and four multi-RBI games...reached base in 12 straight games, the second longest streak on the season...went 2-for-4 with two runs and a double in his first-career game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2/14)...collected his first RBI at Louisiana Tech (2/22)...went 2-for-4 with two runs and a double at East Carolina (3/14)...notched a walk-off bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 11th against Middle Tennessee (3/22)...posted a 2-for-5 day at the plate with two RBI against LSU (3/25)...notched his first-career triple at Marshall (3/29)...reached base in 12-straight games from 4/12 against Rice to May 6 against Southeastern Louisiana...posted a career-high four RBI with two runs and a home run while going 2-for-3 at the plate against Nicholls State (4/29)...had two doubles against with two RBI against Southern Miss (5/3)...recorded the game-winning hit in the bottom of the ninth against FIU (5/16) in a career-best 4-for-5 day at the plate.

Prep: Was a three-time letterman at All Hallows High School in the Bronx, N.Y. before earning a letter at Elev8 Sports Institute in Delray Beach, Fla. during his senior year...played shortstop in high school...helped lead his team to a 43-11 during his senior year...earned first-team all-state honors during his junior and senior years, while earning all-district, all-city and all-league honors during his sophomore, junior and senior campaigns...owns the single season All Hallows record for most hits in a season...also played travel ball for the prestigious South Florida Bandits...was also a three-year letterman in basketball as a shooting guard at All Hallows High School.
Personal:Born Stephen Gavin Alemais on April 12, 1995...son of Joan Salcedo and Ernies Alemais...has one younger brother...plans to study physical therapy and athletic training at Tulane.
