Charvi Greer serves as the Deputy Athletic Director, Student Services/Senior Woman Administrator on the senior leadership team. Greer was hired as the associate athletics director for academic advising as well as the Senior Woman Administrator in August of 2016.
In her current role, Greer oversees student-athlete welfare, academic advising, sport performance units (athletic training, strength and conditioning, behavioral health, and nutrition) and liaises with compliance and student-athlete enhancement. Additionally, Greer oversees all aspects academic excellence & opportunity, student conduct issues, Title IX and gender equity, housing, the Tulane Athletics Care Team, and other student experience partnerships. Greer manages the $21M financial aid budget and summer school. Greer serves as the sport administrator for men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and volleyball. Greer also manages head coaches meetings and all-staff meetings.
In her time at Tulane, Greer has overhauled the student support services areas, including the remodel of the Don and Lora Peters Academic Center, creating a Student-Athlete Enhancement Department, instituting a Sport Performance program, and adding additional full-time and endowed staff positions in academics, career development, and behavioral health.
Greer has implemented a four-year student-athlete enhancement curriculum including an annual study abroad opportunity for rising junior student-athletes and the creation of a first-year student-athlete seminar course. Greer has overseen the rise in community engagement efforts, including a top-25 ranking in the NCAA Helper Helper challenge (#1 in 2021 and #2 in 2023).
Greer led the creation and implementation of the Athletic Department Strategy for Tomorrow initiative. In 2023, Greer was named a MOIC and NCAA Champion of Diversity and Inclusion.
Greer has participated in numerous leadership programs, including the N4A Professional Development Institute, the NACDA Senior Mentoring Institute, and the Tulane Anti-Racist Leadership Program. Greer is a member of NACDA, Women Leaders, and regularly attends the College Athletics Leadership Symposium.
In addition to her responsibilities as an administrator, Greer previously served on the NCAA progress-toward-degree wavier committee and is currently on the NCAA Swimming and Diving Committee.
Greer came to Tulane from East Tennessee State University, where she spent five years (2011-16) in a similar role. During her tenure at ETSU, Greer managed and led the operations of the academic services department for student-athletes.
Greer also developed, implemented and evaluated all aspects of the academic support program for student-athletes at ETSU. Prior to joining ETSU, Greer spent 10 months at UAB as a student-athlete support services assistant.
A native of Auburn, Alabama, Greer graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia – where she played softball – in May 2007 before earning a Master of Science from Georgia in May 2010. In May of 2018, Greer earned her Doctor of Education degree from ETSU in Global Sport Leadership.
