NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane volleyball team extended its win streak to a season-best eight matches, avenging its last loss with an assertive 3-0 sweep of Houston (30-24, 30-15, 30-20) on Sunday to remain unbeaten at home. Tulane set a season-high with 13 blocks in three games, holding Houston to a .075 hitting percentage while slugging .369.

Tulane improved to 25-5 overall, 12-3 in Conference USA, clinching no worse than a tie for second in C-USA. The Green Wave are a perfect at Fogelman Arena with an 11-0 mark, and have won 12-straight at home, the second longest streak in school history, five back of the record.
Freshman middle blocker Lindsey Shepard tallied six total blocks, three solo, three assisted, while junior middle blocker Jen Linder added four assisted blocks and Vlaskovic added one solo and one assisted block. Freshman outside hitter Amaris Genemaris chipped in four kills on six attempts and one solo block.
"After struggling against this Houston team at times in the past, it was good to put together a complete effort and come away with a convincing win today," head coach Liz Kritza said. "This is the most important part of the season, as teams look to refine their shortcomings. For us, we needed to improve on our blocking execution, and today we did just that."
Sophomore libero Jenn Miller led Tulane with 20 digs, extending her Tulane single-season record to 529. It was the third match this season in which Miller has hit the 20-dig mark in just three games. Junior Luna Rebrovic recorded 25 digs, while sophomore Rachel Lindelow added 18.
As a team Tulane hit .369, with every player owning at least a .212 mark. The Green Wave recorded 47 kills on 103 attempts with just nine errors. Only one player finished below a .300 hitting percentage.
"It was a total team effort, and a good win for us as we kept our momentum going into our last C-USA match and conference tournament," Kritza added.
Houston (12-13 overall, 7-7 Conference USA) was led by Justine Farmer's 14 kills. The Cougars are the last team to beat Tulane, earning a 3-0 win on Oct. 12 in Houston.
Tulane wraps up the Conference USA regular season on Friday, November 9, at Fogelman Arena against UTEP. The match will begin at 5:00 p.m., and precede the Tulane men's basketball season opener against Auburn.
NOTES: Radosevic moved into sixth on Tulane's all-time kills list, with 1,367. She passed the 1365 of Shelley Richey (1990-93) and trails Jill Fayard (1995-98) by 13 for fifth place at 1,380.
