NEW ORLEANS – In search of its first American Athletic Conference victory of the season, the Tulane men's basketball team will look to snap a five-game skid on Wednesday, Jan. 11 when it travels to Tampa, Fla. to take on USF. Opening tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on ESPN3/WatchESPN.

TULANE QUICK NOTES:
• Redshirt junior Cameron Reynolds ranks fourth in The American in field goals made (36) and scoring (15.5), while standing sixth in minutes per game (34), seventh in three-point field goal percentage (.404) and 10th in free throw percentage (.755).
• Redshirt senior Malik Morgan ranks eighth in the conference in free throw percentage (.769), ninth in assists per game (3.5) and 11th in assist/turnover ratio (1.5).
• Sophomore Melvin Frazier is third in the league in steals per game (1.7), sophomore Kain Harris is fourth in three-point field goal percentage (.439) and senior Ryan Smith is sixth in blocks per game (1.5).

LAST TIME OUT:
• Tulane (3-12, 0-3 AAC) held a five-point lead late in the first half, but Memphis pulled away for an 80-59 American Athletic Conference victory on Sunday, Jan. 8 at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse. Kain Harris and Melvin Frazier led three Green Wave players in double-figures with 15 points apiece, while Cameron Reynolds added 11 points and eight rebounds.
• Memphis was led by Dedric Lawson's double-double of 24 points and 10 boards to complement five blocks and three assists, as Markel Crawford matched him for a game-high with 24 points. The Tigers finished the game shooting 30-for-58 (.517) overall and outscored Tulane, 28-24, in the paint and 15-2 on second chance baskets, while the Green Wave owned a 10-8 edge in fast-break points and were plus-10 with a 21-11 margin in bench scoring.

THE OPPONENT:
• USF (6-8, 0-3 AAC) enters Wednesday's contest on a three-game losing streak and has dropped five of its last six. The Bulls own a 5-4 record on their home court this season, but dropped their first home conference tilt, 70-56, against Houston on Dec. 31. USF is third in the American in three-point field goal percentage (.363) and sixth in field goal percentage (.441) and steals per game (5.6).
• The Bulls made a head-coaching change on Jan. 3, relieving Orlando Antigua of his duties, before elevating assistant coach Murry Bartow into the role of interim head coach. Bartow spent 12 seasons as head coach at East Tennessee State where his teams compiled a 224-165 overall record during

THE SERIES:
• Wednesday's matchup marks the 32nd all-time meeting between the Green Wave and Bulls. Tulane leads the all-time series, 18-13, and has won three of the last four matchups. The programs split last year's regular-season series one game apiece, as USF earned a 73-60 victory in New Orleans on Jan. 26, 2016.
• The Wave has claimed wins in each of its last two trips to Tampa, including a 67-63 triumph on March 3, 2015 and an 81-70 victory on Jan. 12, 2016.
