NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane men's basketball team will begin the month of March with its final road game of the season when it travels to Memphis for an American Athletic Conference tilt on Thursday, March 2. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. at FedEx Forum.

• Redshirt junior Cameron Reynolds ranks sixth in The American in scoring (16.6) and fourth in three-point field goals made (65).
• Sophomore Melvin Frazier is No. 2 in the league in steals per game (1.8), senior Malik Morgan is sixth in assists per game (4.2) and senior Ryan Smith is sixth in blocks (1.4).

THE OPPONENT
• Owning a 13-4 record on its home court this season, Memphis (18-11, 8-8 AAC) enters Thursday's contest on a four-game losing streak and has dropped five of its last six games with its most recent setback coming in a 72-71 home defeat to Houston on Sunday.
• The Tigers rank second in the conference in steals per game (7.1), third in scoring (74.4), assists (16.1), turnover margin (+2.1) and three-point field goal percentage defense (.326) and fourth in blocks (4.9), but are last in three-point field goal percentage (.301) and three-pointers made per game (5.7).
• Individually, Dedric Lawson is the only player in the league averaging a double-double, ranking first in rebounding (10.2) and second in scoring (19.3). Jeremiah Martin leads The American in steals (1.9) and stands fourth in assists per game (4.4), while K.J. Lawson is third in rebounding (8.4).

THE SERIES
• Thursday's matchup marks the 61st all-time meeting between the Green Wave and Tigers, as Memphis leads the head-to-head series, 49-11.
• Tulane dropped last year's contest in Memphis, 77-65, but left victorious one season prior with a 74-66 triumph on Jan. 3, 2015.
• When the teams met on Jan. 8 in New Orleans, Tulane held a five-point lead late in the first half, but Memphis pulled away for an 80-59 victory. Kain Harris and Melvin Frazier led three Green Wave players in double-figures with 15 points apiece, while Cameron Reynolds added 11 points and eight rebounds.
• Memphis was led by Dedric Lawson's double-double comprising 24 points and 10 boards to complement five blocks and three assists, as Markel Crawford matched him for a game-high with 24 points. The Tigers finished the game shooting 30-for-58 (.517) overall and outscored Tulane, 28-24, in the paint and 15-2 on second chance baskets, while the Green Wave owned a 10-8 edge in fast-break points and were plus-10 with a 21-11 margin in bench scoring.

LAST TIME OUT
• After surrendering a game-tying layup in the final seconds of regulation and Malik Morgan sinking an equalizing three-pointer at the overtime buzzer, the Tulane men's basketball team suffered an 86-76 road defeat in double overtime at Temple on Saturday, Feb. 25.
• Cameron Reynolds registered his fourth double-double of the season and scored a team-high 21 points to go with 11 rebounds, as Malik Morgan also tallied his second-consecutive double-double with 14 points and a career-high 13 rebounds, while Colin Slater added 10 points off the bench.
• Shizz Alston, Jr. led Temple (15-15, 6-11 AAC) with 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists, while Mark Williams scored 20 points. Obi Enechionyia added 14 points and Daniel Dingle chipped in 13 points for the Owls, who shot 31-for-76 (.408) overall and 10-for-12 at the free throw line in both overtimes combined.
