NEW ORLEANS – After a tough road loss to begin league play on Sunday, the Green Wave women's basketball team will look to even its American Athletic Conference record at 1-1 when it travels to Tulsa on Wednesday.

Tulane and Tulsa will tip off at 11 a.m. in both teams' second AAC game of the season and first game of the 2018 calendar year.

STARING FIVE
1.   Tulane began American Athletic Conference play with a loss on Sunday, falling 75-46 at No. 25/24 USF. The Green Wave is now 0-9 all-time in AAC play against the Bulls.
2.   Kolby Morgan – the reigning Louisiana Sports Writers Association Player of the Week – saw her 40-game streak of scoring at least 10 points snapped against the Bulls. She scored 8 points at USF.
3.   Junior Meredith Schulte was Tulane's top scorer on Sunday, recording 10 points on 5 of 6 shooting. Schulte has now scored in double figures in four of the last six games.
4.   Before Sunday's loss, the Green Wave was on a season-long, three-game winning streak. The streak dated back to a 62-44 victory over Middle Tennessee on December 17. All three games in the streak were double-digit wins.
5.   Since joining the AAC for the 2014-15 season, the Green Wave holds a 29-24 record in conference play. Tulane has finished fifth in the league standings during all three of its seasons. Tulane has won the last four meetings with Tulsa.
SERIES HISTORY – TULSA
•   Tulane and Tulsa have squared off 26 times in their history with the Green Wave claiming 18 victories.
•   Tulane has won four consecutive matchups against Tulsa dating back to a March 2015 victory in the AAC Tournament.
•   Last year, Tulane earned a 70-65 victory over the Golden Hurricane at Fogelman in Devlin in the teams' only matchup. In that game, Leslie Vorpahl had 21 points while Kolby Morgan notched 20 including nine free throws and also had a team-high eight rebounds.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN HURRICANE
•   The Golden Hurricane are 7-7 this year and began conference play with a 67-62 victory over Wichita State on Saturday. Out of conference, Tulsa defeated Little Rock, UMKC, Binghamton, UAPB, South Dakota and Arkansas State.
•   Tulsa was picked to finish ninth in the AAC in the Preseason Coaches Poll, and the Hurricane currently has an RPI of 154.
•   Shug Dickson is Tulsa's leading scorer, averaging 14.7 points per game. She is trailed by Crystal Polk and Erika Wakefield's 8.1 points per game each.
•   On the boards, Kendrian Elliott averages 8.0 rebounds per game to lead the team. Polk is second on the roster at 5.7 boards per game. Five different players have at least 10 assists.

TULANE IN THE AAC
Since joining the AAC for the 2014-15 season, the Green Wave holds a 29-24 record in conference play. Tulane has finished fifth in the league standings during all three of its seasons. This will be Tulane's fourth season in the league after spending the previous 19 seasons in Conference USA.
MORGAN'S DOUBLE-FIGURE STREAK ENDS
Senior Kolby Morgan scored just 8 points against USF on Sunday, breaking her double-figure scoring streak of 40 games. That streak dated back to Dec. 3, 2016 in a loss at Middle Tennessee where Morgan scored 0 points. Still, Morgan has scored in double figures in 96 of her 115 career games with the Green Wave.
SCHULTE LEADS THE WAY
With her 10-point effort against USF on Sunday, junior Meredith Schulte was Tulane's leading scorer for the first time all season. Schulte went 5-6 from the floor against the Bulls, making her day the most accurate shooting day of any Green Wave player all season. Schulte has now scored in double figures in two straight games, four of the last six games and seven games total in 2017-18.
HOLDING ONTO THE BALL
The Green Wave had just 10 turnovers at USF on Sunday, tying for the second-lowest number of turnovers for the team all year. In the previous game against UTEP on December 22, Tulane had its season low of nine turnovers. The Green Wave's combined total of 19 turnovers in its last two games is its best stretch of holding onto the ball all season.
SHE'S NUMBER EIGHT
Tulane senior guard Kolby Morgan finds herself near the top of the nation's active career scorers list. With 1,926 points in her career as of Monday morning, Morgan is the eighth-highest scoring active player in the nation.
Morgan is also 10th in the nation among active players in field goal attempts, 11th in field goals made, 18th in points per game, 20th in steals and 20th in 3-pointers made.
WHERE MORGAN RANKS THIS YEAR
Morgan is already having a stellar year for Tulane, ranking in the top 50 in the nation in multiple categories. As of Monday morning, Morgan is 20th in the country in total points with 292, 22nd in points per game at 20.9, 24th in 3-pointers made with 43, 34th in 3-pointers per game with 3.07, 38th in made field goals with 99 and 26th in field goal attempts with 222.
