STARTING FIVE
1.   Tulane had one of its most complete games of the year on Sunday, defeating Tulsa 70-39 to complete the regular-season sweep of the Golden Hurricane.
2.   The Green Wave held Tulsa to just 22.4 percent shooting, the lowest shooting percentage for a Tulane opponent since it joined the AAC in 2014. Tulsa also had just 4 points in the first quarter.
3.   Tatyana Lofton had the best game of her career, scoring 13 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Kolby Morgan led Tulane in scoring with 17 points.
4.   The Green Wave was able to play everyone on the roster against the Golden Hurricane, and all 12 players recorded at least one rebound. That was the second time this year that every player on the team grabbed at least one board.
5.   Since joining the AAC for the 2014-15 season, the Green Wave holds a 31-27 record in conference play. Tulane has finished fifth in the league standings during all three of its seasons. Tulane is currently on a three-game winning streak against ECU.
  Â
SERIES HISTORY – ECU
•   Tulane and ECU have a long history dating back to 1996. The teams have faced off 22 times in that span with the Green Wave holding a 16-6 edge.
•   Tulane has won three straight in the series including the teams' only meeting last year, a 61-45 victory in Greenville.
•   ECU's last win over Tulane came at Fogelman in Devlin in January 2015.
   Â
SCOUTING THE PIRATES
•   The Pirates, based in Greenville, N.C., hold a 10-9 record this year and are 2-4 in American Athletic Conference play. They have defeated Houston and Tulsa while falling to Cincinnati, UConn, Memphis and SMU.
•   Ariyana Williams is the team's only double-figure scorer, averaging 10.9 points per game. Their second-leading scorer, Thais Oliveira, averages 8.8 points per game. She is also the team's leading rebounder with 6.3 boards per game.
•   ECU hits the offensive glass hard, ranking 20th in the nation with 16 offensive rebounds per game. They are also 18th in the country with 21.8 turnovers forced per game.
TULANE IN THE AAC
Since joining the AAC for the 2014-15 season, the Green Wave holds a 31-27 record in conference play. Tulane has finished fifth in the league standings during all three of its seasons. This is Tulane's fourth season in the league after spending the previous 19 seasons in Conference USA.
ALL-TIME STARTS LEADER
Besides all the scoring records Kolby Morgan is chasing, the senior is guaranteed to tie a school record in her next game. When Kolby Morgan starts for the Green Wave, she will have accumulated 119 starts in her career. That will tie her with Ashley Langford (2005-09) for the program record in starts. Morgan will break that record and stand alone with 120 starts when Tulane plays UConn on Saturday.
SO YOU WANT TO BE A COACH
Kolby Morgan was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's 'So You Want To Be A Coach' program on Monday, marking the fourth consecutive year that a Green Wave player will participate in the program. Morgan is one of 62 players in the country who will take part in the program and is one of just two players from the American Athletic Conference selected. Selected players will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to take part in the three-day workshop with speakers provided by the Alliance of Women Coaches on March 28-30.
LOFTON GOES OFF
Junior college transfer Tatyana Lofton had the best game of her Tulane career on Sunday, draining a career-high 13 points, making a career-best five field goals on just eight shots and tying her career high with eight rebounds in a career-high 27 minutes. Lofton, who did not play in six of the first seven games of the year, has averaged 11.2 minutes per game and 4.7 points per game in the last six contests since December 31.
LOWEST OPPONENT SHOOTING PERCENTAGE
As a team on Sunday, Tulane held Tulsa just 22.6 percent shooting from the field. That shooting percentage was the lowest allowed by Tulane in a league game since it joined the AAC in 2014. The previous low recorded by an opponent against Tulane was 23.5 percent by Houston in December 2014.
JUST FOUR POINTS
The Green Wave's defense was on fire from the start on Sunday, allowing just 4 points in the first quarter from Tulsa. The Hurricane shot 2 of 17 in the first 10 minutes. Those 4 points from Tulsa tied for the fewest points a Tulane opponent has scored in a quarter this year. Maine scored just 4 points in two separate quarters during both teams' season opener on November 10.
RECRUITING RANKINGS
Women's basketball recruiting website All Star Girls Report recently ranked Tulane as having the No. 2 recruiting class in the American Athletic Conference for 2018. Tulane's four recruits – Dene' Mimms, Dynah Jones, Erin Gutierrez and Mia Heide – are all ranked in the top 300 nationally according to ASGR. Only UConn has a higher-ranked recruiting class than the Green Wave.
EVERYONE GETS A BOARD
For the third time this season, Tulane had more than 10 players score in a game on Sunday against Tulsa. Eleven of the 12 players who saw playing time in the game scored at least 2 points, and all 12 players had at least one rebound. Tulane also had 11 players score against Troy on December 21 and all 12 players score in November against San Diego State.
IT'S AN HONOR
Kolby Morgan has made herself at home on the American Athletic Conference's weekly Honor Roll, as the senior has been placed on the list six times this season. The most recent honor for Morgan came on Tuesday after a week with two double-digit scoring efforts against UCF and Houston. With this year's six Honor Roll appearances combined with 16 others in her career, Morgan has now been named an AAC Honor Roll recipient 22 times.
SHE'S NUMBER SIX
Tulane senior guard Kolby Morgan finds herself near the top of the nation's active career scorers list. With 2,040 points in her career as of Tuesday morning, Morgan is the sixth-highest scoring active player in the nation.
Morgan is also 10th in the nation among active players in field goal attempts, 11th in field goals made, 16th in points per game, 20th in steals and 21st in 3-pointers made.
WHERE MORGAN RANKS THIS YEAR
Morgan is already having a stellar year for Tulane, ranking in the top 50 in the nation in multiple categories. As of Tuesday morning, Morgan is 22nd in the country in total points with 406, 14th in points per game at 21.4, 35th in 3-pointers made with 54, 43rd in made field goals with 135 and 34th in field goal attempts with 307.
