NEW ORLEANS – Tulane baseball travel across town to take on the UNO Privateers at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Meastri Field on the lakefront in the first game of the Pelican Cup series. The Wave then return to Greer Field at Turchin Stadium to face Southeastern Louisiana at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Tuesday's game will be televised by Cox Sports Television. The games will be broadcast on 88.3 FM WRBH and the TuneIn Radio app. Live video and live stats for Wednesday's game will also be available through TulaneGreenWave.com.
PELICAN CUP
• Tulane and UNO will play three games in 2018: March 6 on the lakefront, and April 3 and 10 Uptown
• A trophy will be awarded to the series winner, and an MVP award will be given to the series' top player after the April 10 game
• The schools will hold a food drive partnering with Kiwanis Club Dawnbusters to benefit Lantern Light and the local Ronald McDonald House. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to all three games in which they attend. At the entrance gate to both stadiums, boxes for each school will be set up for fans to deposit their non-perishable food items into the box of their favorite team. Tulane fans who donate non-perishable food items April 3 can receive a voucher for a $5 chairback seat to the April 10 game Uptown. For donating at the April 10 game, Green Wave fans will receive a voucher for a $5 ticket to one game during the ECU series May 4-6 at Turchin Stadium.

SERIES HISTORY
Tulane and UNO have played 142 times. Tulane leads the series, 80-62. The teams split two games each of the last two years. UNO won 9-5 at home, and Tulane won 8-6 at home in 2017. Tulane last won at UNO in 2015, 9-0. This will be the first time the teams have met three times in a season since 2013.
Tulane and SLU have played 113 times. Tulane leads the series, 77-36. The Lions have won four in a row in the series, including 8-5 and 16-2 last season. The Green Wave won the previous four meetings, and 11 of 16 meetings, dating back to 2012.

• The Green Wave are playing 18 games in 24 days between Feb. 23-March 18, including 11 home games during the stretch.
• Grant Witherspoon, Ty Johnson and Kody Hoese each have five multiple hit games, while Jonathon Artigues, Sal Gozzo and Matt Rowland have four each.
• Ty Johnson has a five game hitting streak, and has reached base in six straight games.
• Gozzo had two hits, one RBI and one run in each game vs. Cal State Fullerton. He doubled twice on Friday, and hit his first career home run on Sunday.

• Witherspoon has 11 hits in his last six games, including a career-best tying four hits vs. Lamar on Feb. 27
• Johnson has four stolen bases, and Gozzo and Hoese each have three steals this season. The Green Wave are 16-for-18 in stolen bases.
• Tulane has a .983 fielding percentage this season. Of the seven errors, five were committed by pitchers and one was by a catcher trying to catch a runner stealing second.
• Tulane has 34 extra base hits among its 102 hits this season, including 26 doubles.
