NEW ORLEANS – Tulane baseball continues its homestand with a three-game series against American Athletic Conference rival Houston Friday through Sunday at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium. Game times are 6:30 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
The games will be broadcast on 88.3 FM WRBH and the TuneIn Radio app. Live video and live stats will be available through TulaneGreenWave.com. Â
HERO WEEKEND
This series in Hero Weekend, as Tulane will honor several heroes in the community during the ceremonial first pitch Friday and Saturday, and at the seventh inning stretch for all three games.
Friday
•  The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Linda Frantz. Frantz runs the Bright School for the Deaf that teaches young hearing impaired students the skills they need to thrive.
•  The seventh inning stretch will be led by Jason Jorgenson. Jorgenson is an New Orleans Police officer who has made numerous gun and narcotic arrests within his district in New Orleans.
Saturday
•  The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Officer Stephen Nguyen of the NOPD. Officer Nguyen is a New Orleans native who spent time in the military before becoming a police officer and recently made the news for saving a victim's life. See the story here.
•  The seventh inning stretch will be led by NOPD Officer Ranald Lott.
Sunday
•  The seventh inning stretch will be led by Paris Woods. Woods began and runs College Beyond, an organization that helps graduating high school students stay on track to enter college in the fall.
KIDS DAY
Sunday is Kids Day: youth 12 years and under can stand on the field next to Tulane players for the national anthem, and run the bases after the game and receive a Raising Cane's kids meal Voucher.
TICKETS
Fans who mention the promo code "Spring Game" at the ticket window on Friday can receive a $5 ticket to the baseball game. The football spring game will take place in Yulman Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Friday. SERIES HISTORY
Tulane and Houston have played 81 times. Houston leads the series, 46-35. The Cougars won two of three games in both series last year. In 2016, the teams split two games in New Orleans, and the Wave won two of three games at Houston, before the Cougars won twice in the conference tournament. Tulane won one of three games in each of the two series in 2015. The teams played two three-game American Athletic Conference series each year from 2015-2017.
