NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's basketball team will host Middle Tennessee State on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. in Avron B. Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse.

Thursday will be Pride Night and all fans 21 years of age and older will get a voucher for free entry and a beverage at the postgame party located at Oz.

STARTING FIVE
1.           Junior Krystal Freeman was named First Team Preseason All-American Athletic Conference heading into the 2019-20 season.
2.           Transfer junior Arsula Clark scored 13 of her game-high 18 points in the fourth quarter of the comeback win over Washington.
3.           Tulane has started 2-0 in the last ten seasons. The Green Wave will look to start the year 3-0 for the third consecutive season.
4.           The Green Wave ranks 14th in the NCAA and first in the American Athletic Conference in rebounds per game at 51.5.
5.           Tulane trailed by 18 points with 1:24 remaining in the game at Washington. Tulane outscored the Huskies 31-11 in the final 11:24 to secure the 64-62 win.

SERIES HISTORY – MIDDLE TENNESSEE STATE
• Tulane is 1-2 all-time against Middle Tennessee State.
• The Raiders took the first meeting, 64-52, in the 2013-14 season.
• The Green Wave beat the Raiders 62-44 in the 2017-18 season in the last meeting between the two teams.
• Tulane is 1-1 against MTSU at home.

SCOUTING THE BLUE RAIDERS
• Middle Tennessee State comes into the game with a 1-1 record. The Blue Raiders defeated ECU and fell to Kentucky to start the season.
• Sophomore Anastasia Hayes leads the Blue Raiders with 17.5 points per game and 7.5 assists. She is second on the team with 8.0 rebounds per game.
• Hayes was named co-Conference-USA Player of the Week after logging 13 points, nine assists and eight rebounds against ECU and 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists against Kentucky.
• Senior Charity Savage leas the team with 11.5 rebounds per game. She is second on the team with 12.0 points per game.
• Head coach Rick Insell has coached MTSU for 15 seasons. He has a 341-122 record all-time in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.Â

• Tulane is 122-94 all-time against current Conference USA members. The Green Wave is 70-34 at home against opponents currently in CUSA.

AGAINST POWER-5 and PAC-12
• Tulane women's basketball holds an all-time record of 83-151 against teams now in the Power-5 conferences and an 19-80 all-time record on the road. Coach Lisa Stockton has earned a 55-72 record against Power-5 teams.

• The Green Wave has a 5-7 record against teams in the Pac-12 and a 4-6 record under Stockton against said teams.

FIRST ROAD WIN IN THE PAC-12
• Before the Green Wave's win at Washington, Tulane had never won a game on the road against a Pac-12 opponent (0-5) going into the matchup with Washington.

COMEBACK KIDS
• The Olive and Blue trailed by 18 points with 1:24 remaining in the third quarter at Washington. Tulane then went on a 31-11 run to close the game and take a 64-62 win.
• Junior Arsula Clark knocked down the game winner with 0.5 seconds remaining to cap off the comeback. She scored 14 of her game-high 18 points in the second half.

SUCCESS IN ROAD OPENERS
• Under coach Stockton, Tulane is 19-7 in true road season openers. The Green Wave is 13-2 dating back to the 2005-06 season in the first road game of the season.

MORE THAN A QUARTER CENTURY WITH COACH
• Now in her 26th year with the Green Wave women's basketball program in 2019-20, it's hard to imagine anyone else at the helm besides Coach Lisa Stockton. Her numbers are staggering: three different conferences, four conference tournament championships, two conference regular-season championships, six All-Americans, 11 NCAA Tournament berths, seven WNIT spots and a boatload of wins. No one in the history of Tulane women's basketball is even close to Stockton's career numbers.

ROLLING DEEP
• Through the regular season, the Green Wave bench played a huge part of the offense. Green Wave bench players combined for 21.2 points per game in 2018-19, and Tulane opponents averaged just 14.1 points per game off the bench.
• The bench is averaging 37.5 points per game through the first two games of the season, while holding opponents to 20.5 a game.
• Arsula Clark has been a spark off the bench scoring 15 and 18 points in the first two games of the season, respectively. She scored 13 of her game-high 18 in the fourth quarter at Washington.
