NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's basketball team will host LSU on Sunday, Nov. 17. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse.

Fans are encouraged to wear blue for the Blue-Out theme. Two tickets to the House of Blues will be raffled off during the game.

STARTING FIVE
1.          Junior Krystal Freeman was named First Team Preseason All-American Athletic Conference heading into the 2019-20 season.
2.          Transfer junior Arsula Clark scored 13 of her game-high 18 points in the fourth quarter of the comeback win over Washington. She continued her success by scoring a season-high 23 against Middle Tennessee State.
3.          Junior Kaila Anderson dished out a career-high 10 assists against Middle Tennessee State. Her previous career-high was nine, which she accomplished three times.
4.          With a fast break layup in the first quarter against MTSU, junior Krystal Freeman scored her 500th career-point. She joined Clark as the second player on the Tulane roster to reach the 500 points mark. Freeman now has 514 career points.
5.          Tulane trailed by 18 points with 1:24 remaining in the game at Washington. Tulane outscored the Huskies 31-11 in the final 11:24 to secure the 64-62 win.

SERIES HISTORY – LSU
• Tulane is 9-31 all-time against LSU.
• The Green Wave took last season's meeting 56-54 in Baton Rouge. Tulane is 6-4 in the last 10 meetings with LSU.
• Under head coach Lisa Stockton, the Green Wave is 9-14 against the Tigers.
• Tulane holds a 4-15 record against LSU at Fogelman in Devlin.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
• LSU comes into the game with a 2-1 record with wins over New Orleans and Arkansas-Little Rock. The Tigers' lone loss came against No. 12 Florida State.
• Junior Khayla Pointer leads LSU with 17.7 points and 5.0 assists per game.
• Senior Ayana Mitchell leads the team with 8.3 rebounds per game, while being third on the squad with 11.3 points per game.
• Junior Faustine Aifuwa ranks second in points (12.3) and rebounds (6.7) per game.
• The Tigers are shooting 47.8 percent from the field, while holding opponents to 37.9 percent shooting on the season.
• LSU forces opponents into 18 turnovers a game and scores 21.7 points off said turnovers.
• Head coach Nikki Fargas is currently in her ninth season at LSU. She has a 150-107 record all-time during her time in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She previously coached at UCLA for three seasons and has a 222-133 career-record. Â

LAST MEETING WITH THE TIGERS
• Tulane took the last meeting between the two teams 56-54.
• The Green Wave led by nine with 3:15 remaining, but LSU cut the lead to one with nine seconds remaining. Kaila Anderson was fouled and hit one shot to push Tulane's lead to 56-54.
• Krystal Freeman blocked a shot at the buzzer to secure the win for the Olive and Blue.
• Freeman led the Green Wave with 10 points and six rebounds, while Kayla Manuirirangi and Erin Gutierrez added nine points apiece.
• The Tigers were led by Ayana Mitchell's 19 points and 18 rebounds.

AGAINST THE SEC
• Tulane is 31-75 against teams currently in the SEC. The Green Wave is 26-33 against SEC teams under Stockton.
• The Green Wave most recently beat a SEC team on Nov. 15, 2018 when they defeated LSU 56-54.
• The Olive and Blue have collected a 19-29 record against SEC teams at Fogelman in Devlin.

COMEBACK KIDS
• The Olive and Blue trailed by 18 points with 1:24 remaining in the third quarter at Washington. Tulane then went on a 31-11 run to close the game and take a 64-62 win.
• Junior Arsula Clark knocked down the game winner with 0.5 seconds remaining to cap off the comeback. She scored 14 of her game-high 18 points in the second half.

ANDERSON DISHING DIMES
• Kaila Anderson dished out a career-high 10 assists against MTSU. She logged seven of the 10 in the first half.
• Anderson started the season with high assist numbers as she logged six assists against the Jackson State Nov. 5.

CLARK LEADS THE WAY
• Transfer junior Arsula Clark has led the Green Wave in scoring in two of the first three games this season. She scored a season-high 23 points on Nov. 14 against MTSU after logging 18 at Washington on Nov. 10.
• Clark was second on the team with 15 points against Jackson State (Nov. 5). She leads the team with18.7 points per game.
• She was named to the AAC's weekly honor roll after the first week of the season.

FREEMAN GETS 500
• With her fast break layup in the first quarter against MTSU on Nov. 14, junior Krystal Freeman scored her 500th point. She joined Clark as the second player on the team to score 500 points in her career. She now has 514 points in her career.

MORE THAN A QUARTER CENTURY WITH COACH
• Now in her 26th year with the Green Wave women's basketball program in 2019-20, it's hard to imagine anyone else at the helm besides Coach Lisa Stockton. Her numbers are staggering: three different conferences, four conference tournament championships, two conference regular-season championships, six All-Americans, 11 NCAA Tournament berths, seven WNIT spots and a boatload of wins. No one in the history of Tulane women's basketball is even close to Stockton's career numbers.

HOLDING THE LEAD
• Tulane has done a tremendous job of getting out front and staying there since last season. The team is 15-1 when it leads games with five minutes left, 13-2 when it leads after the third quarter, 13-2 when it leads at halftime and 10-3 when it leads after the first quarter stretching over last season and this season.

DEFENSE DOES IT
• The Green Wave defense was strong last season, giving up fewer than 60 points 15 times and fewer than 50 points four times. On December 30, 2018, against FAMU, Tulane allowed just 34 points. The team's scoring defense of 59.9 points per game ranked 67th nationally, and opponents' .367 field goal percentage ranked 34th in the nation.
• The good defense continued this season as the Green Wave held Jackson State to 46 points on 22.7 percent shooting. Tulane's opponents are averaging 57.3 points per game this season.

ROLLING DEEP
• Through the regular season, the Green Wave bench played a huge part of the offense. Green Wave bench players combined for 21.2 points per game in 2018-19, and Tulane opponents averaged just 14.1 points per game off the bench.
• The bench is averaging 27.7 points per game through the first three games of the season, while holding opponents to 18.7 a game.
• Arsula Clark was a spark off the bench scoring 15 and 18 points in the first two games of the season, respectively. She scored 13 of her game-high 18 in the fourth quarter at Washington. Clark started her first game of the season against MTSU.

GUTIERREZ DISHES 100
• With her first assist of the game against Washington, Erin Gutierrez logged her 100th assist of her career. She now has 101 career-assists.

The Green Wave will host Central Arkansas on Friday, Nov. 22. Tip-off is set for 12 p.m. at Fogelman in Devlin. This will be Tulane's education day.
