NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's basketball team will tip-off the Puerto Rico Clasico against Boston College on Thursday, Nov. 28, before playing Charlotte on Friday, Nov. 29. Both games are set to start at 1:30 p.m. CT in San Jaun, Puerto Rico. Â

SERIES HISTORY – BOSTON COLLEGE
• Tulane won the only meeting with the Eagles, 69-50, at Fogelman in Devlin in the 2002-03 season.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
• Boston College comes into the Puerto Rico Clasico with a 4-2 record with wins over UMass Lowell, St. Francis (N.Y.), Rhode Island and VCU and losses to Holy Cross and Providence.
• The Eagles average 79.8 points per game, while holding opponents to 63.0 points.
• Boston College forces opponents into 20.0 turnovers per game and scores 22.3 points off said turnovers.
• The Eagles average 43.5 rebounds per game. They rank 13th in the NCAA in offensive boards per game at 18.7.
• Boston College has dished out 92 assists this season, which ranks first in the ACC and 30th in the nation.
• Junior guard Milan Bolden-Morris leads the team with 12.2 points per game.
• Senior forward Emma Guy grabs a team-high 6.2 rebounds per game. She adds 10.0 points per game.
• Sophomore guards Makayla Dickens and Marnelle Garraud have been the facilitators for the Eagles logging 20 assists on the season apiece. Dickens chips in 10.8 points, while Garraud adds 8.7 points.
• Head coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee is in her second season at the helm for Boston College. She has a record of 18-18 during her time in Chestnut Hill.
• Bernabei-McNamee made stops at West Virginia Wesleyan, Pikeville College and Albany before arriving at Boston College. She has an all-time record of 143-84.

• Tulane is 35-51 against teams currently from the ACC. The Green Wave is 17-17 against ACC teams under Stockton.
• The Green Wave most recently beat an ACC team on Dec. 17, 2016 when they defeated NC State 63-58.
• The Olive and Blue have collected a 6-3 record against ACC teams on a neutral floor.

• Tulane holds an all-time record of 15-8 over the 49ers.
• The Green Wave took the last meeting between the two teams 78-76 in overtime in Charlotte on Jan. 22, 2014.
• The 49ers have a 3-2 edge in the last five games between the two teams, while Tulane has a 7-3 advantage in the last 10.
• Under coach Stockton, the Olive and Blue have a 13-3 record against Charlotte.
• The teams are tied at 1-1 in neutral site games.

SCOUTING THE 49ERS
• Charlotte comes into the Puerto Rico Clasico with a 4-1 record with wins over Gardner-Webb, Richmond, Wake Forest and ECU and a loss to Fordham.
• The 49ers average 67.8 points per game, while holding opponents to 59.2 points.
• Charlotte holds opponents to 36.3 percent shooting from the field and grab 39.8 rebounds per game.
• Redshirt senior Jade Phillips leads the team with 15.2 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.
• Junior guard Mariah Linney is the only other player averaging double-digit scoring with 12.6 points per game. Linney leads the team with 17 assists on the season.
• Head coach Cara Consuegra is in her ninth season at the helm for Charlotte. She has an all-time record of 148-105 during her time with the 49ers.

• Tulane is 122-95 against teams currently from Conference USA. The Green Wave is 103-53 against CUSA teams under Stockton.
• The Green Wave most recently beat a CUSA team on Dec. 1, 2018 when they defeated Southern Miss, 71-54.

COMEBACK KIDS
• The Olive and Blue trailed by 18 points with 1:24 remaining in the third quarter at Washington. Tulane then went on a 31-11 run to close the game and take a 64-62 win.
• Junior Arsula Clark knocked down the game winner with 0.5 seconds remaining to cap off the comeback. She scored 14 of her game-high 18 points in the second half.

ANDERSON DISHING DIMES
• Kaila Anderson dished out a career-high 10 assists against MTSU. She logged seven of the 10 in the first half.
• Anderson started the season with high assist numbers as she logged six assists against the Jackson State Nov. 5.
• The Kenner, Louisiana, native leads the AAC in assists per game at 5.3. She ranks 47th in the NCAA in the category.

CLARK LEADS THE WAY
• Transfer junior Arsula Clark has led the Green Wave in scoring in five of the first six games this season. She scored a season-high 23 points on Nov. 14 against MTSU after logging
18 at Washington on Nov. 10.
• Clark logged double-doubles in two straight games with a team-high 17 points and 11 rebounds against LSU and 13 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Central Arkansas.
• She was named to the AAC's weekly honor roll after the first two weeks of the season.
• Clark is second in The American in field goal percentage at .587.

CLARK GRABS 400
• With her eighth rebound against LSU, Clark grabbed her 400th career rebound. She now has 418 rebounds for her career. The Miami native is the only player with 400 or more rebounds on Tulane's roster.

FREEMAN GETS 500
• With her fast break layup in the first quarter against MTSU on Nov. 14, junior Krystal Freeman scored her 500th point. She joined Clark as the second player on the team to score 500 points in her career. She now has 545 points in her career.

DEFENSE DOES IT
• The Green Wave defense was strong last season, giving up fewer than 60 points 15 times and fewer than 50 points four times. On December 30, 2018, against FAMU, Tulane allowed just 34 points. The team's scoring defense of 59.9 points per game ranked 67th nationally, and opponents' .367 field goal percentage ranked 34th in the nation.
• The good defense continued this season as the Green Wave held Jackson State to 46 points on 22.7 percent shooting. Tulane's opponents are averaging 53.8 points per game this season.
• The Green Wave held LSU to 59 points and 39.6 percent shooting. This included holding the Tigers to two points in the second quarter, which marked the 15th time Tulane has held an opponent to five or fewer points in a quarter since the NCAA moved to the four quarters format in the 2015-16 season.
• Tulane has held opponents to 8.6 points during the second quarter of home games this season.
• Central Arkansas' 38 total points were the fewest points allowed by the Green Wave since FAMU scored 32 in 2018.

STRONG FIRST HALVES
• The Olive and Blue held Central Arkansas to 13 points in the first half on Nov. 22. This was the fewest points scored by a Tulane opponent in the first half since FAMU scored 11 in the first two periods on Dec. 30, 2018.
• Tulane has outscored opponents 200-137 in first halves this season and 178-106 in the first half at home.

• Senior Kayla Manuirirangi and juniors Kaila Anderson and Sierra Cheatham were voted the team's captains prior to this season.

CLOSE CALLS
• Though Tulane lost nine of its last 10 games of the 2018-19 season, many of those losses were incredibly close. The Green Wave's average margin of defeat in its last nine losses were just 6.3 points per game. Removing the 15-point loss to Cincinnati on March 4, 2019, Tulane's average margin of defeat in the seven prior games was just 4.7 points per game.
• Tulane's three losses this season come by an average of 5.7 points, with the first two coming by a combined seven points.

THREE-POINT DEFENSE
• The Green Wave did an excellent job defending the 3-point line last season. Tulane opponents shot just .264 from downtown last year, a number that put Tulane seventh in the country. The Green Wave allowed opponents to make 30 percent or more of their 3-pointers just nine times last year and held opponents under 20 percent from long range five times.
• The good 3-point defense continued to start the 2019-20 season as Jackson State shot 15.8 percent from behind the arc. This was the lowest 3-point percentage by a Tulane opponent since Memphis shot 11.1 percent on 2/2/2019.Â
• Tulane held Central Arkansas to 17.6 percent from 3-point range. Green Wave opponents are shooting 29.4 percent from behind the arc this season.

SPREADING THE BALL AROUND
• On the 2017-18 roster, only six players averaged at least 4.0 points per game. Last season, eight players averaged at least 4.0 points per game.
• Through game six this season, six players are averaging at least four points and two players are averaging double-figures.

ROLLING DEEP
• Through the regular season, the Green Wave bench played a huge part of the offense. Tulane bench players combined for 21.2 points per game in 2018-19, and Green Wave opponents averaged just 14.1 points per game off the bench.
• The bench is averaging 22.7 points per game through the first six games of the season, while holding opponents to 18.7 a game.
• Arsula Clark was a spark off the bench scoring 15 and 18 points in the first two games of the season, respectively. She scored 13 of her game-high 18 in the fourth quarter at Washington. Clark started her first game of the season against MTSU.
• Dynah Jones provided 11 points off the bench against Central Arkansas. Mia Heide scored 12 and added five blocks off the bench against Alabama.
