NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University sophomore Jennifer Rosenberg carded a final round 74 and finished the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championship with a three-round total of 218 to tie for sixth place.

Rosenberg once again battled strong winds and steady rain but remained among the top of the leaderboard throughout the day as she posted her second top 10 finish of the season.

"The conditions were really tough all three days, but I was able to hang in there," Rosenberg said. "The field for this year's tournament was just so good and it feels great to be able to compete with some of the nation's best teams."

Rosenberg opened the day with pars on seven of her first eight holes, suffering a bogey on hole No. 18. She then got back to even par with a birdie on hole No. 6. The New York native then suffered bogeys on three of her next holes but closed the day on a high note with two pars and a birdie.

"I was super confident with my swing all week," Rosenberg said. "This is probably the best field I have ever played in, so I was really happy with how I finished."

Rosenberg finished the tournament with 33 pars, eight birdies and was one of just six players in the field to record an eagle. Her tournament total of 218 was her second best three-round performance of the year.

With her top 10 finish, Rosenberg becomes the fourth Tulane individual to finish in the top 10 of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championship, joining Emily Penttila (2013 and 2015), Silvia Garces (2015) and Maribel Lopez Porras (2011).

Junior Haydyn Gibson (tied for 78th, 237), freshman Isabella Cardenas (86th, 243) and senior Sofia Goicoechea (tied for 90th, 252) rounded out the Tulane lineup. Senior Laura Munoz withdrew from the tournament after she suffered an injury in round two.

The three-day event was held at the par 72, 6,239-yard English Turn Golf and Country Club and featured 93 players and 18 teams in this year's field. No team in this year's field was under par.

This year's field features 15 of the nation's top 50 teams, including the top four teams in the country headlined by USC (No. 1), Texas (No. 2), Florida (No. 3) and Duke (No. 4).

Texas won the tournament title with a three-round score of 876. Houston's Leonie Harm and Florida's Addison Baggarly shared medalist honors, as they totaled tournament tallies of 216.

Tulane returns to action on March 29, as it heads to the LSU Tiger Golf Classic in Baton Rouge, La.
