Mar 15, 2019 | Women's Volleyball
NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane volleyball team is back in action this weekend, hosting Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday in the team's second scrimmage of the spring season.
The Green Wave are set to play two matches against the Ragin' Cajuns at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse, with the first scheduled for 10 a.m. and the second set for 1Â p.m. The scrimmage is free and open to the public.
"This is our second spring scrimmage of four for the spring. On Saturday, we will run through some drills and play a two of three scrimmage at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in Devlin," head coach Jim Barnes said. "Spring is such a great time for the players and coaches. Watching players grow and conquer higher level skills is a blast. We are getting better every day and this is a good opportunity to compete back in Devlin, where we won 18 home matches last season."
Tulane is scheduled to head to Houston for the team's third offseason matchup in two weeks, competing as one of 12 teams in the FAST Tournament on March 30. The Wave will then head home for their final competition two weeks later, welcoming Louisiana Tech, Southeastern Louisiana and Northwestern Louisiana to Fogelman in Devlin on April 13 to close spring action.
