NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane beach volleyball team prepares to head back on the road after a successful weekend at home, making the quick trip to Baton Rouge to compete in the Tiger Beach Challenge this Friday and Saturday.
The Green Wave are set to match up against conference opponents Southern Mississippi and No. 4 LSU on Friday, at 11 a.m. and 5:15 p.m., before facing North Florida and Spring Hill College at 12 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.
"We have another opportunity this weekend to get two more conference wins and to compete and improve," head coach Wayne Holly said. "Our team needs to stay hungry and believe that no matter the circumstances, we're capable of playing our best volleyball of the season over the next 48 hours."
All matches will be broadcast live on Cox Sports Television (CST) on channel 37. The broadcast will feature the matchups on courts one and four in each competition, with Lyn Rollins providing play-by-play, Andrew Beyer serving as the color analyst and Carley McCord as the sideline reporter.
Going 2-0 in its last time out on the sand, Tulane defeated New Orleans and Coastal Carolina in the annual Green Wave Invitational. The Green Wave fell on only one court in their home tournament, earning a 4-1 win and a 5-0 sweep on Saturday.

Tulane has yet to face North Florida this season, with the Olive and Blue going 3-0 against the Ospreys in career history. UNF holds a current 11-7 record, beating CSU Bakersfield and Westcliff this past Tuesday in a midweek matchup.
Owing a 7-0 record against its final weekend opponent, Tulane earned a 4-1 win over Spring Hill in the team's last meeting in the Tiger Beach Challenge last season.
