Women's Tennis Makes Saturday Trip to UL Lafayette

NEW ORLEANS – After picking up a 4-1 home win over Jackson State on Thursday afternoon, the Tulane women's tennis team turns around for a road match against in-state foe Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday, March 7. First serve is set for 10 a.m.
IN THE RANKINGS
Freshman Mackenzie Clark holds a No. 112 national ITA national singles ranking according to the latest poll released on March 3. It marks the third straight time she has been listed in the poll after previously being listed at No. 103 (Feb. 4) and No. 101 (Feb. 18).
SCOUTING UL LAFAYETTE
The Ragin' Cajuns (9-1) play Saturday for the first time since splitting two matches on a road trip, falling at UIC, 4-2, on Feb. 23, before earning a 4-2 win over Chicago State on Feb. 25. Floriane Picaut leads the team with a 5-1 record at No. 1 singles, while Dana Radovanovic owns a 7-1 mark. Clara Mantaux (6-0) and Mariona Perez (5-0) are also unbeaten this spring. In doubles, Picaut and Radovanovic hold a 5-0 mark at the No. 1 doubles position.
DOUBLES POINT DICTATION
Tulane owns a (7-0) record when winning the doubles point this season but has not recorded a victory without at least two doubles wins.
LAST TIME OUT
The Green Wave defeated Jackson State, 4-1, at home on Thursday. The Green Wave captured doubles wins on courts one and two to clinch the doubles point, before earning straight-set wins on courts two, three and four by Adelaide Lavery, Lahari Yelamanchili and Lauren Gish, respectively, to seal the victory.
RANKED SINGLES WINS
Tulane junior Lauren Gish and freshmen Mackenzie Clark and Lahari Yelamanchili have all secured singles wins over ranked opponents in their first season with the Green Wave. Most recently, Clark upset 42nd-ranked Taylor Bridges at LSU on Jan. 31, after Gish defeated No. 116 Cameron Corse from Notre Dame and Yelamanchili outlasted No. 18 Eden Richardson of LSU during the fall season.
