Tulane Returns to Action at The Arizona Wildcat Invitational

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's golf team will continue spring play at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational from Monday and Tuesday, March 9-10, at the Sewailo Golf Club in Tucson, Arizona.

The two-day event will tee-off on Monday at 8:30 a.m. CT with second round beginning shortly after the first. The course will play as a par-72 at 6,627 yards. The third round will be played Tuesday, March 10.

The Green Wave will face one ranked opponent in No. 10 Arizona. The field will also feature Colorado, Denver, Fresno State, Iowa State, UNLV, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Long Beach State and Oregon.

Arizona's lineup will feature the nationally ranked golfers in No. 6 Vivian Hou, No. 20 Yusang Hou, No. 54 Ya Chun Chang and No. 146 Hollie Muse. Denver will bring the No. 93 golfer Anna Zanusso, Fresno State will have No. 103 Brigitte Thibault and No. 139 Harriet Lynch, Iowa state will feature No. 118 Liyana Durisic and Colorado will play No. 148 Kirsty Hodgkins.

The lineup for Tulane this week will include senior Haydyn Gibson at No. 1, sophomore Isabella Cardenas at No. 2, freshman Carlota Palacios at No. 3, freshman Sandra Vazquez at No. 4 and senior Gabrielle Correia at No. 5. Freshman Hanna Liu will compete as an independent.

The Green Wave are coming off a seventh place finish at the All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate at six-over 882. Gibson led the Tulane players playing at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational. She finished 25^th at two-over 221. The Olive and Blue logged the second-lowest team score in the final round at English Turn at five-under 287.

After the Arizona Wildcat Invitational, Tulane will play in The Bruzzy on March 30-31 in Frisco, Texas.
