
Burns Earns Second Team NCBWA All-America Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University sophomore Collin Burns continued to add to his growing list of postseason awards as he was selected as a National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Second Team All-American on Wednesday.

In 2021, Burns established himself as one of the team's most valuable players both offensively and defensively as he ranked second on the team in batting average, hitting at a .353 clip.
Burns led the team offensively in hits (84), runs scored (55), doubles (20), triples (4), total bases (136) and stolen bases (20). He is also finished on the team in home runs (8).

Following the regular season, Burns continued his strong play into the postseason, as he was the only Green Wave representative on the 2021 AAC All-Tournament team after he posted a batting average of .381, going 8-of-21 at the plate.

He also added a pair of doubles, a triple, one home run and 11 RBI.
