
Groff Earns Back-To-Back American Athletic Conference Player of the Week Honors

NEW ORLEANS – For the second straight week, Tulane baseball's Ethan Groff has been honored by the American Athletic Conference, named league player of the week on Monday.

Groff is the first Greenie to be back-to-back AAC Player of the Week since Kody Hoese in April of 2019

Groff was named the POTW after he had an outstanding week helping Tulane earn a series win over defending national champion and then-No. 9 Mississippi State by hitting. 647 with 10 runs, on 11 hits, eight runs driven in, four doubles and two home runs. Including the game-winning walk-off home run in the 10th inning of an 11-10 win on Saturday where the Green Wave battled back from down 10-2.

The Orlando native leads the Green Wave in, batting average, runs scored, hits, doubles, triples, homeruns, RBI total bases, slugging percentage, walks, HBP and stolen bases. Groff also is perfect in the field with 21 putouts and two assists this season.

UP NEXT
Tulane hits the road this week for a mid-week showdown against Southern Miss. First pitch is set for 6 pm. It will be aired live on ESPN+ and can be heard on the radio by tuning into WRBH 88.3 FM.
