
No. 22 Tulane Bowling Finishes Strong on the Second Day of the SWIBC Tournament

Fort Worth, Texas. – The No. 22 nationally ranked Tulane University bowling continued the strong start to the season with nine placing in the top 25 on the second day of the SWIBC Tournament on Sunday, Oct. 8, at City View Lanes in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Green Wave split the squad into a varsity and a junior varsity grouping to allow all 10 bowlers to see action. Tulane's varsity placed second with an overall total of 7,021 pins. The junior varsity ranked second in their grouping with a total of 6,405 pins.
Kristen Derr led the charge with her 1,452 pins and average of 207.43 to rank sixth. She had individual games of 234, 144, 185, 205, 266, 226 and 204.
Emma Fetterman placed eighth with her 1,440 pins and average of 205.71. She had individual games of 180, 226, 182, 213, 198, 214 and 227.
Katharina Mente placed ninth with her 1,433 pins and average of 204.7. She had individual games of 167, 170, 194, 222, 213, 232 and 235.
Morgan Gitlitz earned 11th with her 1,404 pins and 200.57 average. She had individual games of 208, 179, 185, 202, 223, 213 and 194.
Sofiia Druchyna took 15th with her 1,386 pints and average of 198. She had individual games of 205, 173, 193, 225, 222, 173 and 195.
Yarelis Alvarez placed 21st with her 1,296 pins and average of 185.14. She had individual games of 214, 186, 234, 168, 162, 182 and 150.
Juanelyz Solla took 23rd with her 1,289 pins and average of 184.14. She had individual games of 195, 180, 134, 211, 180, 185 and 204.
Mia Stolakis was 24th with her 1,280 pins and average of 182.86. She had individual games of 195, 177, 139, 200, 171, 182 and 216.
Cassidy Williams placed 25th with her 1,269 pins and average of 181.29. She had individual games of 136, 202, 194, 183, 156, 179 and 219.
Linnea Holcomb took 36th with her 1,165 pins and average of 166.43. She had individual games of 151, 142, 177, 179, 189, 131 and 196.
Tulane now returns home to host the Colonial Lanes Classic from Oct. 13-15. The first day of action at Colonial Lanes begins with the 5x5 baker game matches at 9:45 a.m. The second day on Oct. 14 is the traditional five team games beginning at 8:55 a.m. The third and final day of the tournament, Oct. 15, is the three best four-of-seven baker matches at 8:30 a.m.
