
Men's Basketball Falls to East Carolina

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Tulane men's basketball (17-10, 10-6) lost 68-83 to ECU (15-14, 6-10) on Wednesday night in Williams Arena.
This is the first-time all-season Tulane has lost three straight contests. Tulane struggled defensively tonight with both Sion James and Tylan Pope fouling out with over five minutes left in the game.
Jaylen Forbes led Tulane's efforts with 23 points, Jalen Cook totaled 12 and Pope tabbed 11.
Tulane got off to a slow start to open the half, letting ECU get out to a 12 point. Forbes would hit three shots from beyond the arc to cut the Pirate lead. Cook would cut the lead to two with another deep three with seven minutes on the clock.
The Pirates were able to get out to another lead and force Tulane to play from behind at the half for the third game in a row.
Tulane couldn't steal the lead from ECU for the rest of the game with the largest deficit of the night being 22. The Green Wave would fall 68-83.
Tulane returns home and welcomes ECU to New Orleans on Friday night at 6 p.m.
