NEW ORLEANS -Â This weekend, the Tulane University baseball team (3-14) welcomes reigning Ivy League champions Columbia (5-7) for a three-game series inside Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.

THE MATCHUP
The Friday and Saturday games begin at 6 p.m., while Sunday's duel starts at 1 p.m.

The series airs live on ESPN+ with radio coverage on WRBH 88.3 FM.

The meeting marks the second in the history between the schools. The first came back in 2017 when the Green Wave took two of three from Columbia in New Orleans.

SCOUTING THE LIONS
The Lions are on a hot streak as of late. They have won three of their last five, two of which accounted for a series win over the #24 Crimson Tide of Alabama.
Columbua is led offensively by Hayden Schott and Griffin Palfrey. Schott owns the big bat with a .420 batting average. In 21 hits, he has accumulated double-digit RBI and extra base hits. Palfrey also boasts a .414 average, 15 RBI and only two strikeouts in 30 at bats.

Ace Andy Leon is 2-1 on the mound this season, giving up only three earned runs in his 15.0 innings of work. He comes into the weekend with an ERA of 1.80 and an opponent batting average of .222.
LAST TIME OUT
Tulane completed a series with Columbia's biggest league rival Penn in its last time out. The Green Wave dropped two of three to the Quakers.

Sophomore Teo Banks shined over the weekend with a .455 average and five RBI all while sporting a .500 on-base percentage.

The mound was highlighted by freshman two-way player Michael Lombardi. He threw the final three innings in the Wave's Saturday win where he gave up one hit, one earned run and struck out five.
