
Green Wave Gears Up for Game Two of the Pelican Cup

NEW ORLEANS -Â This weekend, the Tulane University baseball team (6-18) hosts game two of the annual Pelican Cup. The series currently sits at 1-0 in favor of New Orleans (13-11).

The Wednesday's game is set for 6 p.m. and will air live on ESPN+ with radio coverage on WRBH 88.3 FM.

SCOUTING THE PRIVATEERS
The Privateers opened conference play last weekend when they dropped two of three to Lamar. Lamar outscored New Orleans 15-11 over the three-game series.

They are led offensively by Tristan Moore, who paces the team with a .348 batting average, and Tyler Bischke, who has driven in 20 runs this season. He also has a team-best seven doubles. On the mound, the team sports an ERA of 6.05, led by Tyler LeBlanc's 3.27 mark in 33 innings.Â

TULANE'S LAST TIME OUT
The Green Wave is currently riding a three-game losing streak after posting only three runs in its series against Hawaii over the weekend. Infielder Brady Hebert has a team-high .323 batting average, while outfielder Jackson Linn leads the way with five home runs and 16 RBI. Hebert is also the team's stop stolen base threat as he has swiped seven in nine attempts thus far. On the rubber, reliever Michael Lombardi has a miniscule ERA of 1.84 in 14 and two-thirds innings of relief work.
